High honors for a rock star and humanitarian in Philadelphia Thursday night. U2 singer Bono received the prestigious Liberty Medal at the National Constitution Center.
Past winner and former President George H.W. Bush helped with the honors. The award also goes to the organization Bono co-founded.. Debt AIDS trade Africa. Bono has worked with both the Clinton and current Bush administrations in fighting disease and hunger in Africa.

Six Liberty Medal recipients have went on to with the Nobel Peace Prize.
